The InnerFaith Ensemble

 
The InnerFaith Performing Arts Center is proud to introduce the  InnerFaith Ensemble. The Ensemble consists of young artists with at least two years of artistic training.  All students are recommended by a teacher and a personal interview with the child^s parent. We recently caught up with IPAC^s Founder to ask her a few questions about the Ensemble. 

Why did you create the Ensemble for the arts center?  The arts center had so much talent and students who where faithful as well as alumni^s who where extremely supportive of outside ventures, performances, and productions. I wanted to give students something to strive towards and also give them a unique opportunity to represent their talent as well as the arts center in showcases, productions, and outside venues.

What are your goals for the Ensemble? Let me say first, the Ensemble has been on-going and growing but we never really had a name for it. We would get requests for things such as the Mayor^s annual youth showcase and special events from the city. The dancers as you know where semi-finalist for the McDonald^s Gospel fest. Our drama students went on to make Disney^s Lion King finalists, NJN films, PBS commercials, and where also successful in several local auditions. Last year really made me take a look and like Oprah^s says I had a Aha moment. I knew we had to make it more concrete and develop something that students would strive towards. So I guess in a nutshell I really want to keep doing the things such as auditions, traveling, making new contacts outside the city of Paterson. I also want to mention the ensemble will be the featured artists for all IPAC^s showcases and productions.  My goals are to fine-tune what we have been doing for the past couple of years, strive towards excellence with it and make it a beacon of inspiration for the City of Paterson.

How can a kid get involve with the Ensemble? They have to be a student in one of  IPAC^s star programs, summer arts camp, or our Community Outreach programs. If they are, they must have at least 2yrs of  training, recommendation from a teacher and a parent interview.
